As a storyteller at heart, when I decided to play The Sims 4 "as nature intended" (aging on, minimal cheats, etc.). I decided I would create a family and tell a multi-generational story. This is where the legacy began. Just an average suburban family, a husband and breadwinner, a wife and mother, and their three kids living in an average two-story suburban home.
I'd like to stress that this is not meant as a challenge of any kind. The goal is to simply tell a multigenerational story using EA's The Sims 4 as the platform. The Smith Family did not start from nothing. They start with their three kids and their family home. There are no rules, and no limits, other than those within the game itself. That being said, there is no rules against using cheats, mods, or custom content as well. The point is to simply tell a story.
